Trandock

A flat fee, quoted on scope, held for twelve months.

No hourly billing. No year-end true-up. No surprise invoice because a month ran heavy. We quote against transaction volume, account count and basis of accounting — then we hold that price for a year.

All plans include a named bookkeeper, controller review and month-to-month terms.

How we quote

Seven things move your price. None of them is a guess.

Two companies at identical revenue can land hundreds of dollars apart, and it is never arbitrary. Here is the exact list we score on the consult call — you will see the same list on your quote.

  1. 01

    Transaction volume

The single largest driver. Counted across all connected accounts.

  2. 02

    Number of accounts

Every bank, card, processor and wallet is a separate reconciliation.

  3. 03

    Entity and state footprint

Multi-entity work means eliminations; multi-state means filings.

  4. 04

    Basis of accounting

GAAP accrual carries real work that cash basis does not.

  5. 05

    Revenue recognition complexity

Subscriptions, deferrals, milestones and inventory each add scope.

  6. 06

    Starting condition of the books

Cleanup is quoted once, separately, so it never inflates your monthly.

  7. 07

    Services in scope

Payroll, bill pay, extra entities and CFO work are priced as named add-ons.

Pricing questions

The fine print, in plain English.

Why isn’t tax preparation on this list?

Because we don’t do it. Trandock is a bookkeeping firm — we close books, we don’t file returns, and we don’t give tax advice. Every plan includes a year-end package built for whoever does file, in their format, with every adjusting entry sourced. You keep your own preparer and we coordinate with them directly.

What happens if my transaction volume grows past my tier?

We tell you before you find out on an invoice. Volume is reviewed quarterly; if you have moved a tier we walk through the new quote with you and it takes effect the following month. We never backdate a rate change, and we never bill an overage without a conversation first.

Is the onboarding or setup fee separate?

Standard onboarding — access setup, chart of accounts review and opening balance true-up for a business with current books — is included. If your books need historical cleanup, that is quoted as a separate one-time fee at $375 per month of back books so it never gets buried in your monthly rate.

What does the 15% annual discount actually require?

Twelve months prepaid up front. That is the only difference — the scope, the team and the terms are identical. If you cancel mid-year we refund the unused months at the monthly rate, less the discount already applied to months you used.

Do you charge for the QuickBooks or Xero subscription?

No, and we do not resell it either. You own the subscription directly, which means you own the file. Budget $30–$130 per month for QuickBooks Online depending on the plan your scope requires; we will tell you which one on the consult call.

Is there a minimum engagement length?

We ask for three months so the first two closes are not judged on books we inherited mid-cleanup. After that it is month to month with 30 days’ notice, and you leave with the ledger file and a complete document export.

How do you handle a month where something unusual happens?

An acquisition, an audit, a financing round or a one-time restatement is scoped and quoted as a project before we start. Your monthly fee does not move because of it. Normal variability — a heavier month, a messy vendor, an extra reconciliation — is absorbed in the flat fee. That is the point of the flat fee.

Not sure which tier fits?

Tell us your transaction volume and entity structure. We will tell you the tier and the number in one call — before you have to decide anything.
