Trandock

We built the firm we wished we could have hired.

Trandock started in a room where three people were tired of watching good businesses make bad decisions on stale numbers. Everything about how we work traces back to that.

Why we exist

The month-end close is a promise. Most firms treat it as a suggestion.

Our founders spent a combined two decades inside accounting firms and startup finance teams. The pattern was always the same: books arrived three weeks late, nobody could explain the variance, and by the time the owner had numbers the decision had already been made without them.

So we inverted the model. We commit to a delivery date before we take the engagement. We staff a controller on every file, not just the expensive ones. We quote a flat fee so there is never a reason to pad hours. And we write a plain-English narrative on top of every package, because a balance sheet nobody reads is not a deliverable.

Four years later, that is still the whole strategy. Close on time. Explain the numbers. Charge a price you can plan around.

2022

Founded in Austin

Two founders, eleven clients, one rule: the close ships on the committed date or the month is free.

2023

Controller review on every file

We hired controllers before we hired salespeople and made second-level review standard at every tier.

2024

The clean-handoff standard

Clients kept getting stranded between a bookkeeper and a tax preparer who never spoke. So we built a year-end package no CPA has to question.

2025

SOC 2 Type II

Independent audit of access, change management and vendor controls. Renewed annually.

How we operate

Four commitments we will not negotiate.

The date is the date

We commit to a delivery date before we take the engagement, and we publish our hit rate internally every month. If we miss a committed close without telling you in advance, that month is on us.

Two sets of eyes, always

A bookkeeper prepares and a controller reviews — on every file, at every tier, including the smallest one. Second-level review is not an upsell. It is the difference between records and financials.

Flat fees, always quoted first

Nobody at Trandock bills by the hour, which means nobody here has a reason to be slow. Every add-on has a published rate. You approve the number before the work starts.

Your books are yours

You own the ledger subscription and the file. No proprietary platform, no export fee, no hostage-taking. Leave any month with 30 days’ notice and a complete document archive.

Leadership

The people accountable for your file.

Small enough that the founders still read the escalations. Large enough that nobody is a single point of failure.
